Spent a beautiful morning in stunning Dubrovnik. For all you Game of Thrones fans, a lot of their filming is shot here. You can even do a Game of Thrones tour. Walked around the wall in the old city (so hot we were dripping in sweat!) and the views were outstanding. Such a beautiful city. Heaps of cruise ships and private yachts and launches docked in the harbour. Full of tourists with tourist prices. 5 ice creams cost us $30 NZ dollars and back in the villages it would only cost $8 NZ dollars for 5!!!!
Next day we went to Opuzen where my cousin Marina and her family live. Had a yummy lunch and then they took us for a ride in a boat through the river and into a swamp like area. Beautiful scenery. We had a wonderful day spent with them. Kids loved playing with their boys. Language a barrier between them but with kids it doesn't matter!!!

ReplyDeleteWe couldn't see any frogs unfortunately. But our cousin was going to make Brudet (Croatian fish stew) with frogs!! But she couldn't get any for the night we were going to be there. Apparently they taste like chicken!!!
